I am keen to learn the ins and outs of floppy disc drives and how it talks with the PC in order to get files from the disc, and save files on the disc.

Could anyone here provide me with,
+The name of any language of which these two devices have to talk to each other
+What is the procedure that takes place.

+Also, in simple terms, The Searching of a disc for a file, who does that, is it something in the disc drive which controls all this, or does the PC/Motherboard control that directly in some way.
