The reason why Mac had released boot camp was the restrictions Microsoft makes. Code wise (intel) macintosh would be able to run any application on Windows if it where not restricted. This is, of course, understandable because otherwise it would drain the windows market. Through Boot-camp mac users can use any windows program, that would usually not run on a mac thought restriction. Plus Gates gets the credit because it is still his operating system running it. I am a cross-system user and through my experience software that runs on a os X appear to work more efficiently and has in reality all the software you require to do practically everything, not to mention the ability of switching files from one program to another in a breeze. Sure BootCamp is an eye catcher but it is not a longtime resolve. The major reason for boot camp: Popularity at first glance = Money. If you are planing to play games get a pc or even better a console. If you are looking for reliabliliy, profession, or multi tasking between platforms get a mac. Period.
