Changing the boot priority shouldn't have done anything like that. Actually, changing almost anything in the BIOS should not make the computer unbootable.

The beeping -- is there a pattern? Try to locate your motherboard manual or find it online. The beeps usually do mean something, and if you can find out what it is, then things will be a lot easier to troubleshoot.

I think trying to clear the BIOS/CMOS settings is worth a try. If you can find your motherboard manual and see how to do this, great. Otherwise a common method you can try: open up the computer and look for a small little battery the size of a watch battery. Remove it for a couple minutes and put it back -- this should will reset everything to factory defaults. Try to boot after that.
