I've really only had to temporarily go back to IE for downloading large audio files. I'm a freelance audio transcriber, and I download almost all of the files I eventually transcribe. However, some of them are 2-3 hour lectures, and so obviously are huge. For some reason, Mozilla occasionally has problems handling huge files, whereas IE downloads them with less hassle. I just installed the newer version of FF, though, so maybe that will work better.
