Well, I wound up getting myself a Trojan horse - my own dumb fault, too -- and restored the whole system. I installed Nero 8 - same problems. Couldn't believe it. So (insert red face) I took my disk, reinitialized it everything worked. *groan* But no thanks to Nero's support, that's for sure.

I loved that Video Edit Magic though - it's awesome, but for some reason it won't capture my video's at all and I've since ran two other trial softwares that did work. So I contacted them about it but after asking what OS I was using and such, they never got back to me again.

So, Nero 8 is working like a charm thanks, and I love it, but they're support sure could do better.
