If your old EX HDD is Ka-Put - bin it so now you need a new one and you can use it with your Mac and your PC "whats to understand", Oh also can be done with a printer > Mac & PC Partitions are seen as single drives thats how you can "eg" put Windows in one partition and say Linux in the next partition, easy
