I'm not sure I understand. There's not a "sounds" directory under Windows, and, er, Windows Shell? I'll try moving it to the C: drive.

Also, I'd rather sacrifice my little startup sound than delay my boot up. I want the fastest boot possible. I know, I should remove the sound altogether to speed booting, and perhaps I shall.

I still wonder why it plays completely at times, not at all at times, and somewhere in between at yet others. It makes me wonder what's going on.
