PCmover, made by Laplink Software, is a migration utility program that moves programs, files, and settings from one computer to another.

I've networked several computers and would like to move a bunch of files and programs from one computer to another (you've read that in another thread). Has anyone used this program or similar programs for moving non-OS programs from one computer to another?

I'm thinking of purchasing this one in order to mitigate my moving problems. Comments?

Dave

I just noticed that this is like a one-way license: only to move selected programs from one computer to another computer, not to move programs from one to different computers. I may not understand that correctly.

yeah, it seems to be just aimed at the single computer user - not be able to put in use for migrating your network in one go

It may not be what I want since it has that limitation. I was really hoping to take most of the programs off one computer and put it on two other computers (not duplicating programs, but moving certain programs to a desktop and certain programs to a laptop).

I'm going to contact them and explain my situation. I'll see if they have some alternative besides buying a bunch of licenses.

In the mean time, I'll look for some other software like that.
