Really? I mean yeah it's a good card, but it's really just 2 8800GT's in SLI, so whats new?

This seams the way nVidia and ATI are going ATM SLI or Crossfire in one Graphics Card, my ATI 3870x2 is Crossfire in one and i must say works very well, but is this a statement by the two main contenders that they have gone as far as they can in single chip cards ? is multi chip GPUs the future ?
