Anyone here going to upgrade when the woodcrest chips become available?
It seems like intel might be doing something right this time. After a long bunch of victories and increased marketshare for AMD, I can see Intel fighting back with the woodcrest chipsets.
Intel will be making their chipsets smaller. By the time this is mainstream, AMD will counter by going to a lower chipset as well. I'm all for AMD, but Intels do have their pros.....and cons
I haven't studied into the Woodcrest chipsets all that much, but i'd probably read reviews about them.
I actually haven't heard much about the woodcrest chipsets, but I think that Intel can pull it off, they do have pros and cons, but I never had problems with them.
I think the competition between the two is good for the consumer. I remember back before the days that AMD was a real player in the market. It was nowhere near as good for the consumer.
