I am proud owner of Acer 5620 Extensa.

I loaded Vista Home Basic on it. Working perfectively.

Except, i am facing problems with Windows Media Player. I am able to hear audio from the speakers and really enjoying it. But when i plug in my normal head phone to the head phone jack on the fron of the notebook, i'm not able to hear any sound, but the sound from speakers is still on. I tried with many headphones.

But when i try to test the headphone separetly from the controlpanel->sounds option, i'm getting the test sound.

I think there should be some setting in the windows media player which i'm missing.

Gurus out there, can you guide me ?......

I dunno about "gurus", but a place to start MIGHT be running sndvol32.exe, & seeing IF you "muted" any 'out ports' (you'll see stuff like microphone & other speakers (e.g.-> Mono, vs. Stereo, vs. 5-way etc. et al, via sndvol32's OPTIONS menu))...



* Poke around in it some, especially its menus + popups screens, & you'll see what I mean... plenty to "play with" resides therein...
