Did they just stop working? Never worked? Stopped working when you put them into a new PC... give us some more detail

Maybe you did a format and didn't reinstall the drivers?

Most of my CD Rom issues have been related to drivers. It could also be that they're just worn out and need replacing. My friend's CD drive just had a mechanical failure; she needed new parts. Although more info might help. . .

If it does not working even if you transfer to other PC then that is totally damage but if it works with other one then maybe the issue in is the installation of drivers.

Hi kokotai

Are you Optical Drives showing in Device Manager ? I presume your on Windows OS ? XP ? if so "to access click Start > Control Panel > System > Hardware Tab > Device Manager expand DVD / CD-Rom Drives by clicking the + and see if your Drives are showing ? you can also check the drivers by right clicking on the Drive name and in the drop down click Properties, you can uninstall the drivers here in XP then reboot the system and XP will make new drivers for the Optical Drive, please post back and let us know what is happening with your Computer
