CodePlex is Microsoft's open source project hosting web site. You can use CodePlex to create new projects to share with the world, join others who have already started their own projects, or use the applications on this site and provide feedback. Other than keeping your coding on your own machine, is there a way to protect the uploaded code from getting corrupted or just plain messed up?

With codeplex, they simply provide the "server" to host your project from your password protected account. So, once you build something, you would make yourself a backup onto your or somewhere safe and then take it "live" on codeplex. Your code would be safe on codeplex, but someone could download your code and tweak it and then take their version live too. Just like open source software.
