I found a flash video on Digg a while back that's pretty cool. It's a real-time video of a guy using Whoppix to hack an IIS server. Granted, it's probably all scripted and practiced to perfection, but it's still quite neat to watch (and the music is cool ).

There are a couple others by the same guy (muts?) from iwhax.net. I didn't look to much into it, but the only one I saw was cracking WEP.

Anyone else have links to some demos? I think they're interesting And with Defcon around the corner, I guess I'm in the mood I can't wait for Defcon coverage to come online!

btw: Anyone else regular digg? Tell your username, I'll add you to my "friends" list.

I set up VMWare yesterday and tried WHAX (which was known as Whoppix before they switched from the Knoppix base to the SLAX base, which is the Slackware LiveCD).

I miss linux If CrossoverOffice could get PhotoshopCS2 to work properly, I think I might switch and just put up with the emulation.

Ubunto is really popular right now. I was going to try it (actually, I prefer KDE so I was going to try Kubuntu), but I don't think I'd ever use it even if it was on dual boot.

*sigh* I don't like being tethered to Windows for one program!

I used to be a windows guy until about 3 days ago. My friend persuaded me to use Ubuntu and I quite like it... I still need Windows for Gaming though... If only Ubuntu had better support for .exe's...

Lol Ubuntu. I ordered 20 copies from them. 24 days later, I got them. All for nothing.

Anyway, isn't it illegal doing that? My knowledge on the laws of online hacking are a little rusty.

I ordered Ubuntu CD's, too, but they still haven't come They'd be kinda useless now that Breezy Badger is out, though (I ordered Hoary Hedgehog). Maybe I'll try again.

Anyway, it's illegal if you don't have permissions For a demo like that, he probably set up a separate system of his own to use.

It's for our enjoyment and information. As far as i'm concerned (even if its promoting bad practice) that's a good thing.

EDIT:
oh yeah, i ordered Ubuntu CD's aswell.
They came
