I have a 128MB Geek Squad flash drive which I love. I used it to backup all the data on the senior honors project I did last year. However, I would like to get a 256MB drive, and as I get paid today, I just might go ahead and do that.

Not wanting to share your firefox history...wow, I'll say like above, that's quite a revelation, is it not ?

You'd be fine with me surfing through your history? It's just a matter of privacy.

Some stuff in my firefox history may be sensitive, like development servers and such, but that isn't the point I'm making. If I don't know you, I don't want to give you any information at all. I don't want a complete stranger knowing what I searched in Google or looked at in Amazon for example.

Exactly. Not that what I look at on Amazon is a big deal or anything. I just don't like the feeling that people have information on me. Call me paranoid, but I always delete my FF history every day or two.

In Flash Drive news, I'm quite excited . . . I found a 256 MB San Disk for only $20 -- and that was full retail price, not on sale. I'm just really amused because my year-old 128 MB drive cost double the price . . .

yeah flash drive prices are going down as they manufacture FDs with higher capacity. there's a 1GB scandisk (size about your car key) at walmart.. it's only 50$ (i think...)

i have a 128 and it cost me 20$. geezez. right now a 256mb scandisk FD costs around 20$.

I just bought a 1 Gig on e-bay for $22 and I am thrilled with it. I got hooked on a 256 because it gave me a way to store and carry around my writing. I think they are great and secure.

I have a 1GB SanDisk Cruzer Profile. It uses fingerprint recognition so the content is safe unless someone cuts my finger off or has me at gunpoint

How does that work anyway, Tim?

Is it a Windows only type thing that auto installs some sort of driver? Or is it all done in the hardware so you don't need any software?

I was told that it was traceless on the PC, but the salesman didn't know how. Wouldn't that mean that the Sandisk swiper has the software built in?

Now I'm checking to see if my Cruiser will plug into that swiper.
