Thanks, you are probebly right. I guess I am just attached to this particular on and I am fighting replacing it. Does anyone know what the general shelf life of a jump drive is?

I've put a jump drive through a washing machine, twice only to plug it in and have it operate perfectly.

The shelf life of a jump drive, given good treatment on your behalf, should be fairly long.
