Warning Overclocking your system may void any guarantee on components

Saying that i OC all my systems and one thing to keep in mind is (don't overclock what you cant afford to replace) today there are many apps to help the overclocker "eg" Winfox, Easy Tune, Guru and so on but the golden rule is small increments and then benchmark and when you have your system stable benchmark over the next few days, you will find all the benchmarking tools you need at > Benchmark HQ i recommend Burn Max, CUP-Z and CPU Right Mark

My current laptop is nastily under clocked (Can take up to 3.6, but is jammed at 3.0), yet HP seem to not let me overclock it.

On the subject of OCing (which I'm not, but might)...Cat - you seem pretty knowledgable here - what about extra cooling?? Can you offer some advice to us potential OCers about where to look (if there is anywhere) for info on how much extra cooling might be required for OCing, depending on what we've got & what we might want to do??

As to cooling a OCd system generally stock CPU coolers are not up to the job and extra case cooling would depend on the case so there is not a general guide as each system may be different.

I can and would be happy to make suggestions for cooling if individuals post there full spec and what the Computer is to be used for at TNT.
