Does anyone know how to ghost an OS.. i have 2 PC's at home.. Since they have both the same hardware. I would just want to know how to ghost a OS so that i will not have to go to the long process of formating.. thanks a lot!!

Am i correct in saying you want to migrate the OS from one Computer to the other ?

just copy the OS to another PC. since they have the same hardwares.. is that posible??..

Yes you can copy your OS to a new HDD and it will work if its used in the same Computer but connect the HDD to another Computer even if the hard ware is the same you may still have problems as the BIOS wont be exactly the same.

I'm sorry dark06 it wont work the BIOS and CMOS has timed stamps an OS loaded on one Computer wont function in another Computer even one with identical hardware, the only way to install the same OS is to load it, every Computer has a different number and you will have conflicts, people have tried using the same BIOS flash and it still wont work.

ahmm do you know how to install windowsxp. using the window 98 command the one that uses command prompt?? thnx

Yes, but if your going to install XP its advisable to perform a clean install, do you have the Windows Full XP CD ?

wow... but it only shows the xp installation in xp(standard) is it possible to install it using a command prompt like the one in windows98??
