Redon Buckeye writes "Google's Android software development kit is using several outdated and vulnerable open-source image processing libraries, some of which can be exploited to take complete control of mobile devices running the Android platform. From the article: 'Several vulnerabilities have been found in Android's core libraries for processing graphic content in some of the most used image formats (PNG, GIF an BMP). While some of these vulnerabilities stem from the use of outdated and vulnerable open-source image processing libraries other were introduced by native Android code that use them or that implements new functionality.'"Read more of this story at Slashdot.

Well, could be... but, software, & especially NEW software? Is going to have to 'evolve' & iron-out bugs, period... just how it is with any "relatively complex" system (e.g.-> It took sharks (tiburon, a la espagnol) millions of years to become "perfect killing machines", but they haven't had to change since).
Me? I like Google's "ANDROID"... Why?? Its files (@ least SOME of them) end in my initials as their file extension in Windows, lol (.apk) APK P.S.=> A.P.K. = "Android Programmed for Killing" (I didn't invent that, I got it from a site where years ago @ least, you could put in your initials & it would put out some "odd phrase" based on them, & that was mine)... IN FACT (editing this lunacy in)? Here is that VERY site: http://cyborg.namedecoder.com/index....click-edox.y=0 apk
