TNT has just been upgraded to run the latest forum software (vBulletin 3.6). With this new upgrade, we've got a bunch of new feature to play with. In this post I'm going to outline a couple for you

Also please report and errors or bugs you see with out style. All these changes meant lots of changes in the core templates. I've applied the changes to our custom TNT style, but I might have missed something.

Multi-Quote
You now have the ability to quote multiple posts at once. On the far right side of each post where the normal "Quote" button is, you'll see a new button: Once you click it, you select that post for quoting. You can select as many posts as you wish this way. Then when you click the "Add Reply" button to go to the reply page, all of the selected posts will be there in the message area for you.

Instant Marking forums Read
You can now quickly mark specific forums read by double clicking on their icon on the index page. This will instantly mark the forum read (also changing the icon to represent this) -- all without a single page reload.

Quote tags link to post
When you quote a post, a link to that post will automatically be created. This is useful when you want to see an entire post or see the post in context.

Rate threads instantly
When you rate a thread via the drop down menu, it will be done instantly before your eyes without any page loads.

Signature images
You can now upload signatures like you can already upload avatars or profile pictures. In your user control panel, just edit your signature and you'll see the new upload box.

Attachments in threads available in popup on listing
You don't even have to go into a thread to view attachments anymore. Just click on the little paperclip icon and a popup will appear listing the attachments.

Block PM's from all but buddies
If you hate getting PM's from people you don't know, now you can block them all and only get them from people you add to your buddy list. (Note: staff are exempt from this block).

Instant karma giving
Now when you click to give karma, a popup menu will appear. After you've submitted the request, everything is done instantly without any page loads.

PM's now support BCC
You can now send PM's with CC's and/or BCC's.

Pause/Resume attachment downloading
You can now pause / resume attachment downloads. Though you might not find this useful all the time, users on dialup downloading large JPEG's will!

Nice upgrade. I especially like the potential of the mult-quoting.

Is 3.6 final version released now?

Nope, we're running RC1. I expect Gold will be released very very soon.

But I needed to update the templates anyway, and then I just decided to do the full upgrade here anyway since RC1 is stable from all I hear.

The multi-quote feature has also caught my attention. This is indeed nice, I didn't even notice.

Haha nice job Nick. I am slow at change, so it will take me a while to get used to multi-quoting, but I am a huge quoter, so I am sure I will use it more and more as I get used to it.

I saw somewhere else RC2 is out now? Man they are moving fast!

Yup, only 7 days between RC1 and RC2 and gold will most likely be next. Depending on my schedule for the next week I may or may not upgrade to RC2.

Pretty nice new features. I had to test the muti-quote feature also.

Wow, you already upgraded to 3.6 and it isn't even stable yet. It seems to work stable enough though.

RC's are close enough to being stable that we tend not to worry.
