Just a suggestion Dave on Computer 3 loose Norton "Ram & CPU Hog" try Comodo Firewall v3 for Vista 32 & 64 bit "Free" > Here and Avast AV "free" very good for Vista > Here, you will see a difference in system performance

I will get rid of the Norton when the subscription expires. It was on the laptop when I got it, so I'll use it. I'm trying the NOD32 on another computer because I've seen several independent reports about it and it's rated very high. So far I like it really well and I may go with it when the other sub expires. I've tried Avast, and I recommend it, too.

Thanks for the recommendations!

I do like Norton; just don't like how much resources that it wants.

Dave

That's nice to know. Thanks.

I've removed Norton from another machine and only used their uninstall program. I'll have to go back and see if I need to use that, too.

You will need to use the removal tool because Add & remove wont remove all of Norton

I tend to agree and I'm not keen on the security suite that some vender's produce, definition databases are mostly quite poor and many are a product of a chopped down product renamed as (Home / Small business) poor protection at a premium price.
