Yes sir, that's big enough for me. I wouldn't mind that someone else uses it, but I do mind that they use or abuse me! Make sense?

The router came with Network Magic and I tried using it. It seems to work rather well and it's a good troubleshooter. I've done what it said, which is alot of what others have said, and I've had less trouble with it. Well, less trouble with it and my network.
MoMan is still having some problems connecting, but I think that may be due to my firewall. The program helped me to get mine activated correctly to let my other PCs in, but the network is now passworded and can be locked. Dave ![]()

So is your not having any problems connecting now, or is it just not having as many problems connecting as before?

It's not having as many problems. It used to be that everytime you left for an hour and didn't use it that it disconnected. Now it only needs to be powered down or reset once every few days (infrequently anyway).

Well that is still awesome in comparison to what it was before. So does anyone know if that is typical to have to reset your wireless router every couple days or something?

I would say that's not typical to reset your router every few days ... unless your trying to cutdown on power usage in the home.

I'm also not resetting it, but rather powering it down and back up. The reset makes too much work.

I'm still powering it down everyday. I bought a new one, same kind, and tried to hook it up today. Nothing wanted to cooperate with me, so I'm back to using the old one.
Since I was using Network Magic, it was supposed to be pretty simple to change the router. Everything on the network recognized the new router and "new" network, but I could never get it to go online. And it asked for the admin user name and password, and they didn't work (which it's generally admin and " " nothing). Is this a typical problem? Dave :d

I don't know if this is any help but I have a Linksys router and I've had to reset it exactly once in the past 2 1/2 years. So I don't think you should have to reset it near as often as what you're experiencing.
