Hi all,
I have a abit p35 pro I picked up and have been searching for a quad core cpu, im looking at a q6700 or q9450. Ive read it wont post w/ the q9450 until u flash the bios w/ revision 16, but it didnt list how to do this anywhere without it posting, can this be done? Ive updated bios before, but always with cpu installed and system that booted. I dont want to have to get a cpu that it will boot with just to flash the bios b4 buying what i want... if anyone has a link to a site on how to do this or this board let me know!

well i just found a few posts where users boards worked out of the box w/ 45nm procs, i guess im going to have to see if I can figure out what mine is, and if its 45nm core 2 duos that worked or quads, Im doing the build with video editing in mind so id prefer to go with the p450 bc of its sse4... but anyways till would like hear if anyone has the board with a 45nm quad...

cool, I have the evga 8800gts w/ 320mb for this build, I missed the 6700 on ebay I was going to buy, but I did find a review that showed the 9450's sse4 was noticeable for video editing, so i think ill try and pick one of those up. u running sp64 or 32, saw the 4gb ram so figured could b either..? How do u like that case?

The CoolerMaster Stacker 832 is a great case and so is the Thermaltake Tsuami VA3000BWA - Black Window (click my spec below my sig and you will see my latest build), a good case is important as it will need to have provision for good cooling "eg" Air, Water, or say Phase Change, research is the key
