iPod Downloadz....Has anyone here ever heard of this program or used it? I was checking it out online and it looks pretty cool, but I wanted to hear what people thought of it that have it and have used it. The movie quality is ok, it's a 320 by 240 pixel resolution so it may be a bit hard to see. I still prefer the laptop for watching movies on the airplane.

Are you talking about the videos using that program or just videos on the iPod in general?

I don't know, maybe it's 'cuz I'm sort of old, but I just can't see watching movies on a tiny little iPod screen, but then working at home as I do I'm not out and about a whole lot where I'd make use of that.

I have watched a couple of episodes of The Office on an iPod now. It was kinda' nice since this is as hard to carry around as a laptop and it's a little more convenient in crowded places.

If I were going for quality pics or vids, then I'd prefer my laptop (which I usually use) or my portable DVD player.

What about that program mentioned in the first thread? Anyone use that yet?

Don't use it.

It is just a P2P network that you pay for. There are tons of networks you can get access to for free (ie. Gnutella with Limewire, or just use bittorrent).

The site advertises movies and music, but note that you cannot legally download copyrighted material just because you are paying for the service. You will still be breaking the law if you download a "real" movie or some hit song.

So in short: the service seems useless. Unless you like to download a lot of public domain content, that is

Does anyone know how to put DVDs that you own on your iPod? Someone told me about a free iPod video converter called Jodix free iPod converter. I downloaded it, but havent been able to get it to work. I have found that it will work with some short videos that I have downloaded on like utube or that people have sent me through emails which I dont really understand. Other people have told me I need to buy a video ripper. Does anyone know how to do this and what I need?
