In terms of maintenance - and being "in the job" of Helpdesk and Desktop Support - what would be good freeware apps that I could get together and stick on a flash drive to run on machines when I need them?

Anyone got any ideas for XP and Vista?

Hi Ian

One application that would be very handy (i use this) is S.I.W (System Information for Windows) can be run off a Flash Drive (as its a stand alone application - no installation) and can tell you about everything on a Computer, you would need the Technician's Version (sorry its not free, but you wont get any better) covers all Windows OSs

Another is ATF Cleaner (freeware)

This app can be run from Flash Drive (stand alone application) and is a very fast temp File cleaner (i use this every day on all my systems)
