Wow, I didn't even realize those things ran on batteries. Most of the people I know have some sort of port that they plug into a USB device on their computer, which powers the mouse

What sort of customizations do you do to the buttons, 64-Bit Man? For $50, the price seems to be compensated by its features.

Slashmire, what are those switches and how do you add one?

Well you can customize them so you can have it open an application of your choosing or maximize a window. On the handle you have a +/- and these are your hardware volume control. On the right of that you have your >>/<< buttons and that's to Previous or Next on a media player or while watching a DVD. This works in iTunes also^^

You have a middle click button which is your wheel and you can customize your middle click button so it can scroll documents or whatever you want through the menu. The site i posted should tell you more into it. The one thing it should mention that in order to use your Back and Forward buttons in FireFox is to set them as Generic Buttons.

If you do decide to get this most beatrix let me know, i can tell you more in depth about them^^

Well the general trend of things is to go wireless anyway so the mouse is just one of those items going with the flow.

That's a good point. I suppose we'll eventually reach a point in technological evolution where everything is wireless. But I imagine that won't be for awhile yet.

The Macbook uses a bluetooth mouse. It operates using two AA lithium non-rechargeable batteries. Very cool looking! It can operate even at a distance of about 5 meters, although one wouldn't really go that far. Here is a link for more reading.

Most of the people I know who has the mightymouse don't have the best reviews. The cordless one, I hear, can sometimes be quite laggy and inaccurate.

I absolutely HATE all Mac mice now shipping, they are extreamly uncomfortable and very inprecise on the screen.

I have a wireless mouse and keyboard combo and I love it. Mostly for the same reasons as everyone else. I hate the clutter of cords. I'm with Christopher my charge lasts about a week or so and does the same sleep thing. Also another good thing was I got my combo for about $50 they had the wrong price on it so when I went to check out it rang up as $149.99 I told him that was the wrong price. I went and got him the sign that was on the shelf that said $49.99 he gave it to me for the $50 it was awesome the dude didn't even care that I got it for so cheap you can check out my combo here.
