"Mark Forums Read"

It's working for me on the Mac...

Have you changed your useragent some how? I believe the forum software checks the user agent to check if it is compatible with some of the more advanced JS functionality. It may even be a feature of the extensions you have installed to block the useragent from being sent, or to alter it somehow.

no clue mate - not using a user agent switching extension at all
