Hi Giselle. I haven't read that one. Let me know how you like it.
I'm currently reading 'Designing with N Channel Junction Field Effect Transistors' (fascinating plot and ) and rereading 'Hynos' and 'Dreams In The Witch House' by H.P.L. I've also got 'The Big Canyon - Myth and Mystery' about the formation of the Grand Canyon, but it's kind of on the back burner until I get some active preamps and distortion units built.

I sure will let you know Ken how it is. I was kind of in a hurry at the Library, so looked to see if there was anything new by him, I am never disappointed with Dean Koontz's novels.

Sounds like you have some good reads too! Enjoy!

You won't be disappointed, I read half the book yesterday!

"Ready-to-Run Delphi 3.0 Algorithms" - by Rod Stephens

& (for review)

"PASCAL Plus Data Structures" - by Nell Dale & Susan Lilly

* Since Borland Delphi has essentially been the same for 32-bit code since version 2.0 (circa 1996-1997), as far as its ability to handle 'algorithms' (engine designs)? The 2nd book STILL applies, perfectly!

This first book MAY lead me to a BETTER method of making a program I am working on, faster, in a certain section it has (where large data extremely slows it down, until it hits the midpoint of the dataset/array it is working on)... this is the type of book that assists me here, hugely, quite often (saving me time in "reinventing the wheel" + avoiding mistakes possible in THAT much)

(The 2nd book is just "good review", of the collegiate/academia course called "data structures", typically (& that IS where the REALLY GOOD STUFF you learn in a comp. sci. degree, really TRULY is, imo @ least!))

BOOKS: Professionally, @ least in a technical field, are your BEST BUDDIES imo... perhaps better than the web itself, in some ways (good investments too, because they're FAR cheaper than university (or even local community colleges) coursework... of course, this means YOU have to be 'diligent' about pursuing their material that is - this is the HARD part, as "life" gets 'in-your-way' @ times).

APK

P.S.=> Since Delphi's essentially "Object Pascal 7" really, both books apply just fine to Borland Delphi 7.1 (the version I use, the last GOOD one imo, where true executables were still built, & NOT .NET interpreted runtime ones) & are there for times when I have 'nothing to do', or am relaxing (& don't feel like watching T.V. (rare), a film, OR surfing the web etc. et al)... apk
