"Leisure Reading" = "ALL THE VERY BEST MEN" by Evan Thomas

(This goes back to my brother shortly, it is his)

An interesting story of the (imo), "troublemakers of the world" - Desmond Fitzgerald & crew (CIA)...

(Sometimes? Those people make me REALLY wonder, is all I can say - however, they're NECESSARY, by all means... dreamers, & kids @ first? Look @ them now!)

----

"Serious Reading" (for work related purposes) = "DELPHI COM PROGRAMMING" by Eric Harmon

(I can do the same via web-services for DCOM, (& I need the com foundations too though), which webservices are a DREAM compared to DCOM, to design, use, AND implement but... never hurts to pickup or brushup)

APK

P.S.=> I "leisure read" for culture mostly, not nearly as much as I used to when I was younger... I don't have the time & desire for that, anymore really... as there is ca$h to be made... & to do that? I 'serious read' to self-educate (costs less than coursework @ a local college or U, by far)... apk

I'm usually reading 2 or 3 books, one of which is almost always a reread of an H.P. Lovecraft volume - any of them will do, I love them all. Right now I'm also reading Blow Fly by Patricia Cornwell; a forensics mystery.

LoveCraft RULES: "The Dunwich Horror"... & others!

* I was "turned on" to H.P. Lovecraft by an old neighbor of mine, Fred, & the ENTIRE series of them (the ones set in New England) & though written in a sort of "archaic english" language, you get used to it, pretty fast!

PLUS, the way lovecraft could & would describe places (like alternate dimensions his characters travelled thru, & their civilizations, etc. even down to the architectures being described)? Hey - Nobody else to date in MY experience @ least, could touch his abilities, there...

You felt like YOU were really there!

Iirc, isn't HE one of Stephen King's "heroes"?

APK

P.S.=> One of my FAV all-time "Cult Classic" films, iirc, is based on his work... "FROM BEYOND"... bit lame by today's standards, but if you like Sci-Fi?? A MUST SEE! Why... well, a quote from it:

"Now you can TRULY see..." apk

Indeed! And yes, HPL is one of King's heroes. Nice to find someone else with the Lovecraft bug.

Haven't read a book in months, but took a book out of the Library today, "The Good Guy" by Dean Koontz.
