For Lost Ones (just joking)-Did you know that the lead singer of the Best Heavy Metal band in the World is Rob Halford & he's the Grandfather of Metal too. He's Rob Halford of Judas Priest. I think my favorite track is..."You Got Another Thing Coming". That band kicks major a** over others listed in this thread imo but I am a music connoiseur & a dj... Although I would never spin Heavy Metal though. You might ask me about Music if you dare. I have collected music for a while & I am one wise woman. Have the most sun~ shiny day wherever you may be . "The Electric Eye"

It's actually very VERY profound, as to its lyrics - if you take a listen to it, (lyrics below), it'll make you realize this, & this is WHY I like Heavy Metal... it's sometimes very informative, &/or makes you THINK (&, it got me to look into the history of this madness, satellite surveillance, etc.)

Heavy Metal, imo @ least, is also often a form of protest - & this tune does "protest" in its own way (or rather, point out the 'downsides' of say, various technologies &/or practices).

Satellites... hmmm: Makes you realize 1984 was a LOT earlier (per the Orwellian view of it @ least) than that year, 1984 itself.

I.E.-> Ever since Eisenhower (& his predecessors as Presidents) got into the "space race" around 1946-1958 (& later per the Moon Race), we've been in the world of "Big Brother", bigtime... & when AT&T/Bell "got into bed w/ the gov't." as far as telecommunications too, around 1947.

E.G. -> The USA by using Werner Von Braun (WVB) & his team of rocket scientists, post WWII, who did have PART of it, via the A4/V2/buzz-bomb technology of the nazi regime under Adolf Hitler, well...

The U.S. Gov't. got ahold of WVB (because he certainly did NOT want to work under the Russians (& iirc, Sergei Korolev, their team lead scientist), who had GOOD REASONS to mistreat the nazi's)!

I.E.-> Because, for 1 thing (a horrible thing)? Well, they used their kids (russian & polish ones, this I KNOW for sure) as blood transfusions for the Nazi soldiers, as they did my own relatives no less (polish kids whom they murdered for this, & I know for a fact, because my parents had it happen to their relatives & my family were prisoners in Labor Camps (where non jews went, not death camps, but slave ones) under their regime also), & that is HORRIBLE, in the transfusion vampire-like draining of babies no less... totally heartless)

ALL governments, were after this, hugely... as it would affect the 'balance of power' & the biggest FEAR of those in power?? Losing that power, of course.

AND, yes, in a way, I don't blame the U.S. Gov'.t, because knowledge IS POWER, & it's only REALLY good, if you get it, first... & ICBM's certainly are (intercontinental ballistic missiles) a route to this, in application with satellite surveillance, NOT JUST ATOMIC BOMB DELIVERY MECHANISMS.

So, WVB & his team, plus later, along w/ the JPL (Jet Propulsion Labs) in California, & also later, the Naval "vanguard team" (failure initially, the rocket crashed on lift off on national TV no less, ugh!) were used for this effort!

It was also ALL completely "politically guided", because WVB was a ex-Nazi scientist in part (which was kept hidden from the masses in the US presses, no less), to get there, first... WVB's team, though RIGHT THERE with working stuff, was put out of commission (ordered to stop) & vanguard Navy stuff funded, instead... hmmm?

Yes: Making us look like the "losers" (to the dismay of the general US populace) yes, but intentionally so.

... & to get the Russians to go with the International Geophysical Year (IGY research to truly 'see' the earth & its dimensions, which are NOT round, but instead, actually 'pear shaped' in space) FIRST!

The IGY usage, was largely just a "pretense/mask/disguise" though... there is HUGE POWER in misinformation &/or ONLY PARTIAL INFO. released, too (so the russkies would look @ vanguard, via spies, & think "Ha, their JUNK, sucks... it'll never get there first!")

(This was all, also, so the Russians would not "flip" that we were sending spy satellites over their nation FIRST, because Von Braun's team using their multistage rockets to achieve escape velocity (Sir Isaac Newton discovery) for orbital placement of a satellite, could have done so, EASILY, & first!)

... & ALL, so the Russians/USSR could * THINK * they got to space first - which they did, via sputnik - making them think "OK, we 'won' & thus WE ARE SUPERIOR" etc. et al... which only functioned for 1 purpose: "Hey, you flew OVER US, first, russians... not the other way around", an excuse to go for it, on OUR end.

Thus, "cooling the russians' jets", for while @ least, whilst we were working on MORE than just that (getting a satellite up into orbit only)

It was an intentional deceit on the U.S.' part, even though it made us "look like the losers" in getting to space first!

In other words? Hey - Sometimes, it's "OK TO LOSE" in other words, to win in the end!

(& nobody does this, or KNOWS IT better, imo, than politicians (which is part of why I don't trust them - I always ask "why would you REALLY want this & that law passed" first, not only what you tell us, but your REAL reasoning beneath the pretty face you show us (which usually has a leering skull beneath it)))

Anyhow... & WVB's team using "REDSTONE" &/or one of its variants (a missile, multistage + satellite cone) could have beaten the USSR by A YEAR or more no less... & when 'push came to shove', w/ in 3-4 months after sputnik, they put up a satellite using WVB's team's tech... NOT the vanguard project (a ruse, one the russian KGB's spies would look @ & think "the US will never do it, look @ their junk!"... or outright failure due to anti-nazi feelings in gov't., doesn't matter really).

Yes, imo? It was intentional that we 'lost' the init. space race to get a satellite into orbit first (politicians! they're all the same, deceitful & treacherous imo), so the Russians would not retaliate via say, a nuclear retaliatory attack for us orbitting a satellite over their territories from high up in space (Hey, I'd be pissed too, if that went on... wouldn't you?)!

(Simply because the Russians are NOT stupid, far from it - as they were onto Eisenhower's TRUE motives, in espionage... & that was so they could be superior in gaining "intel" vs. say, U² spyplanes (which, they did, 1000x better info., via satellite surveillances)).

Anyhow, so much for the "history lesson", the point is what this tune speaks of... & in short?

Somewhere in these threads I am pretty sure you wrote that but ...I guess liked Loudon Wainwright which is like Folk Music-right? yeehah

Are you familiar with Peter Murphy? Well he's an original member of Bauhaus and I was listening to some of his own music. I really enjoy this track "Cuts Like A Knife" I guess if you know the song you know what the lyrics are too but unfortunately, I was not in Peter Murphy's mind's eye when he wrote these haunting lyrics so I will not try to explain them. That is why song tracks & song titles are completely open to interpretation. For some a song tracks' title etc. may boggle ones' "closed-mind" but for others the same song track may be pleasurable & soothing. I can only say from my vast musical knowledge but I hope that you will follow whatever knowledge that you seek.

At the moment, since everyone is in bed, I'm only listening to what I call Meniere's Rhapsody in b-Flat, and the wonderful sound of fans running and the keyboard clicking. What a nice cacophony!
