Used, excess cell phones

I have several used cell phones that I don't use anymore, nor do I ever intend to use them.

So....

What should I do with them?
How do I make sure they don't have anything on them related to me or my old accounts?
Have you heard of the "give a soldier" a cell phone program? And is it a good program?
Should I try to sell them on eBay?
