I really doubt that anyone in here is a violence-monger though some may live in areas or have jobs where violence is all around them.

And the next person posting can always change the subject with their post since their day might not have had in it what the person's day had in it that posted prior to them.

As for me, I've been in the ocean this morning. Yes, it was early and a little on the chilly side from the high winds. The hot tub wasn't open yet, so I came back up to the room for a hot shower and then a bagel. I think I'm going to visit the Bass Pro Shop today. Ahhh.....

Just got back from the NY State Fair w/ my niece (it's "tradition") & we had a great time... I am bushed though! She's full of energy, like most children are, & I no longer am anymore (not usually)... lol!

She's a "big girl now", & can ride the the 'big kids/people' rides, of which she was very happy to do, & that alone made my day, to see her enjoying that much!

Oh, yea: Also, this one GOOSE (my niece & I like examining the animals brought in from all over the state, 'champion grade' ones no less) whose breed apparently originated in China!

Smart bird (imo, for a bird), because He kept honking @ us, & we stopped over & he apparently was lol, "asking" anyone to shove his seed food (corn) BACK into his cage!

(Somehow, he shoved 99% of it outside the wires of his cage)

We stopped over (after my niece noted it was nearly ALL outside of his cage roost), & we both put it back in... I actually think the creature was happy about this too, as he busily set to 'gorging himself' on them.

wow looks like i missed a fair bit in my short absence.

APK - thats fine I can understand why some people don't use IM's, I use them for day to day coms an to relax but it's not on what I call my work comp so i feel safer doing it.

So for the last few days i have been helping a friend of mine move into his first real place with his baby an fianca. My god it's been a while since I have done any serious lifting an it feels good if a little painful I am just glad i have a good bed an a even beter chair.

My mates new place is huge 3 bedrooms, 2 living rooms an a decent sized kitchen. The living rooms have at least 12ft from floor to celling, I am gona help him paint them soon but boy is it nice. well located too shops on the door step an a major transport termanus 3 min walk away but you wouldnt know it the road outside is prity quiet.

Today, I soft-deleted what we normally call "dirty laundry". Let me explain that I don't indiscriminately take sides on any issue. And when I do have to take sides because of a misunderstanding (or whatever), it usually will not be made public. As in this case of the missing posts above, they were removed because this matter is not going to be handled publicly. It is in the best interest of this forum (and also those involved) that the posts were removed.

Though not explicitly stated in the rules, disputes will not be handled in a public manner. As is stated in the rules, we don't allow flames. Hence, the posts have been deleted.

Please, do not air problems like this on the forum. It will not be allowed.

Do the math - She sent me a total of 18-19 messages, I only sent back 11, & with GOOD reason (her name calling & such, which is when I quit responding period, & decided to let you handle it).

(Before that, I merely replied to her points, individually, using quotes of her own words. I did so nicely, no name calling either, & was trying to get her to see reason - impossible)

I called sunshine no names, I made no complaints of it even, UNTIL she did what she did here... & she did call me names & such, repeatedly (see those pm's I sent you of her to myself)...

I merely pointed out facts. Facts you can easily verify no less, & the number of messages alone, let alone the content, prove this easily for me.

To everyone, please do not go on the defense if you think I'm taking sides and it's not yours. When there is a dispute/disagreement/whatever between two members, I do not divulge what I discuss between the two members. I don't tell Member A what I said to Member B or if I gave infractions to that member, and vice versa.

Guns was not the issue. If guns made it so that you couldn't be a member here, I'd have to resign. I'm from a state where there's more guns than there are people. And I admit that I love owning and shooting them. So I really share the interest of guns and computing. Just a sidenote, but computing for long range shooting is just about a must...like the ballistics for loading ammo and the calculations for shooting including inclines, wind, curvature of the earth if shooting that far, etc.

I agree that you have been a good contributor here. I have in no way said or implied that anyone's posts are superior to anyone else's post. I hope that clears up the feeling that something's not right here, and I hope you realize that none of this has been a slap in anyone's face. My apologies if it seemed that way.

There is no reason for anyone to leave, even when members have a disagreement. If one doesn't want to receive PMs from another, then block them. If they make comments that you don't like, ignore them. This is not a forum where everyone is expected to "take up for themselves" if they think they have been slighted. Report it to me or a Forum Leader and let us take care of it.

This is a forum about computer technology. We'll keep it that way. Problems between members will not be posted publicly and will be handled and handled privately. It is not in the best interest of this forum or any member of it to make public their disagreements, unless that disagreement has something to do with computer technology (and then there's still diplomacy that needs to be involved.

I hope that helps for everyone that reads.

Now, what have I done today? I've been fighting a ride on the migraine train for the last 2 days and the train is winning. Conductor, I want off! I've also tried to explain to Smokey and Monie that I appreciate their love, but they don't have to be on top of me all the time I'm sick. Two 20 pound cats are not always comfortable when they chose to lay on you, and Monie is trying to see what I'm typing right now.

Edit: There is an option in the User CP to ignore another user. The older versions of vB actually said block and I guess I'm still using the old terms.
