* There was a MASSIVE downpour & t-storm here last night, & earlier I had watered them as was instructed (few hours beforehand) - now, I'm just worried that the extra water will drown them (I am NO expert on gardening but I have heard tell you can overwater plants).

Natural rain will almost never drown your plants, unless it's a flood with standing water.
