Please review my site

Hi people,
I made this site http://www.freejavaguide.com . I am not happy with the looks of this and also getting really saturated with it. That is the content. Can you help me out as to what more to put or how i can improve upon this site to increase traffic.

Something which can make this site special apart from other java programming sites.

NOTE: I am really sorry for posting the same thing at 2 places. Had not seen this forum section earlier

IT's off to a good start as far as I can see, You have the content, which is a big plus.

As far as design, you need to adress flow. Consider something such as the following:

Code:

[Left Column]                [Main Area]

==========================================================================
LOGO/BANNER                Google Ads
==========================================================================

Menu                    About Website

New Attractions                Small News/Updates Section

Link Exchange                "Main Page"


HORIZONTAL LINKS SECTION - HORIZONTAL LINKS SECTION - HORIZONTAL LINKS SECTION

After that you need to make sure you have a clearly defined THEME.
All similar objects on the page should look similar! Your website should use the same 3-4 colours everywhere. Then concentrate on having everything well spaced and padded.

That's about it I think.

It's got a lot of good information. You might consider some catchy kind of header.

Well, first your title tells me your site is about "Free Java Tutorials"; however, after reviewing your home page you have links for XML, HTML, SQL, etc. That confused me.

Also, if you don't have to have your add at the top then I would move them. But of course, you may not be able to. So if you do, I would try to block these off using a different color so they won't get lost in your content. It makes it somewhat confusing at first when you don't realize what those link are.

And last, I would make the subtitle ("FREE JAVA GUIDE MAIN PAGE") of my pages larger. Right now they are the same font and size as the links on the page.

Other than that, I think it looks pretty good.
