The technologies used today are a little easier to use. When liquid cooling first came out, it was mostly experimental. There are some stores that will sell liquid cooling parts but it might be better to have it custom build anyway. At least you know it will work and fit than to spend more money finding different models that will fit on your CPU/case.

I think what scares people is the fact that it could leak; even if one is okay, using custom build may save you troubles later on.

You can always lash out and use a dielectric coolant, so if it leaks, you have no worries.
